Red Bali has a more reddish color to the leaves with red veins. Its not nearly as bright as the Green Maeng Da or the Green Jong Kong, the tinting strength is more of a neutral mid-tone green with a very mellow vibe. Although this strain was developed on Bali it is now grown in the West Kalimantan region of Indonesia. Traditionally these leaves were used for different purposes.

Green Jong Kong is a very special bright green strain grown in a small area of West Kalimantan Indonesia called Jong Kong. The plethora of rivers and tributaries allow this kratom to develop different characteristics than red or gold kratom. The trees here grow at the river’s edge and and in flood plain. Kratom will develop differently depending on the conditions its grown. Kratom is a plant that loves water, so the Green Jong Kong is an extremely rare, high-quality strain just as good or better than Maeng Da. The tinting strength is medium bright green. The farmers say when the monkeys eat it they jump around and act crazy with lots of energy.

This is one of the most unique strains of kratom I have ever come across. It has a color spectrum somewhere between the Red Bali and the Green Jong Kong, almost a tan color although it appear more of a dark green in the photo, this is considered a unique White Strain Combing the properties of both red a green stains. As far as tinting strength it’s a mid-tone green-red. The genetics of the plant and the curing process used gives this Kratom gives some very unique properties. This strain is grown in the central Kalimantan part of Indonesia.

This is a high-grade white vein plant that is cured using a special process to lighten the color of the final powder. This plant is the opposite of the Red Bali which is associated with relaxation vibrations. This plant has a more energetic vibe to it. As far as tinting strength its much lighter, more of a tan color.

Encaustic wax is one of the oldest forms of painting known to man. The surviving Fayum Portraits are encaustic wax painted on woooden panels placed on mummies, that look as lustrous and beautiful today as the year they were painted, sometime in the late 1st century AD. The modern encaustic recipe is beeswax and damar resin, both heated in a cauldron to their melting point and mixed together. The resulting paint is clear and reflects a tremendous amount of light. The Damar Resin adds sheen and hardness to the beeswax and raises the melting point substantially to around 185 -200 degrees. The paintings can be buffed for a high-sheen.
To paint with encaustic, one must first heat the medium on a hot plate and add pigment. Then, using a natural bristle brush, you quickly apply the molten encaustic to a prepared surface. Layers can be built up very quickly using this medium.
While it is a bit difficult to learn at first, I find it to be a far more enchanting medium than acrylic or oil paints.
